I would have loved so much to be 15 y.o. in 2020 or 2021 so that the computers of my childhood would be small, efficient and powerful at the same time. What they have achieved with the Apple M1 and now the Snapdragon 888 is ridiculously impressive, so much so that I now know that my next computer (laptop or desktop) will be an ARM (M1 or 888). Anyone interested in making a Linux 888? ("air" or "mini")
Machine Learning is about to change forever along with general computing, with the first Apple Silicon: the Apple M1. The beast has 8 CPU cores, 8 GPU cores (with 128 execution units), 16 machine learning cores, for a total of 16 billions transistors, with the "world's best CPU performance per watt", and a price tag that's really nice as well (for the Mac mini M1): 800€ Well done Apple, I wasn't expecting that! #MachineLearning #AppleSilicon #AppleM1
Of course, this is needed. Thank you Google for all the efforts towards a bright, fresh and clean futur! (in english) https://sustainability.google/commitments-europe/ (en français) https://sustainability.google/intl/fr/commitments-europe/
