Why do so many enlightened teachers say, “The world is perfect as it is,” when really there are so many problems?

Ok so, why do “enlightened teachers” say “the world is perfect as it is”? And before answering that, we first have to ask ourselves: what about this question?

1/ No one is “enlightened”, so if you really want to solve that question, you first need to realize that there is a fallacy in it.

Because, what is an “enlightened” being? I mean, is “zero" a number? Is “void” a space? Is “null” a matter? People don't reach the state that you call “enlightened” by adding on top of what you already are and do, they reach it by suppressing things from their doing, thinking, and inner turmoil.

A baby is enlightened, a cat is enlightened, an ant is enlightened, a bacteria is enlightened, all your cells are enlightened, but… you are not, if you're thinking, wondering, labeling, judging, memorizing, etc… which is the only way to step away of enlightenment. Doing that is the way to confusion, and confusion is a doing, it's like smoking.

Can you really achieve to stop smoking? No, you can't, because smoking is an act whereas not smoking is not an act, that's why the latter can never be performed. As there is no particular moment when you do achieve “nothing”. Everybody is a non-smoker as it's a default state, until they start smoking.

In the same way, can you “do” still? Can you become still? No, you can't, as stillness is not an act, but is simply the absence of motion. So, what do you want to call “still”? Well, it's up to you, as it really doesn't exist, it's just a judgment, a label, a word that you use in order to be able to communicate with others.

But it's not because you can create a word and share it with the world that the thing you're naming really exists in the first place. We have a word for zero, for void, for null, for infinity, for eternity, for space, for life, for the universe, for consciousness, for …etc… and maybe, none of that really exists. Because ideas don't need to match reality, ideas are just intended to achieve communication, and that's about it.

rose” may spark some mental process in you right now, but a real one (the color, the smell, the texture, etc) would definitely have a different impact on you than the idea that you build about it.

“enlightenment” is achieved as soon as you stop using ideas in order to interact with reality, as soon as you do like a cat, an ant, a bacteria, etc… So does this sound like fun? Maybe it is, who knows.

2/ The world isn't “perfect”, as “perfect” is a word, and the world isn't a word. So whatever word you want to apply upon it doesn't change it in any way, it just changes one thing: the idea that you have upon it. So, words change only one thing: you! So when will you stop doing that?

The world is magic and indescribable, and if you don't see it right now, look again, because what you see right now is not the world, but it's the idea that you have about it.

We are creatures of illusions. We have those big brains and no one seems to really understand that all that we see, is us! How could it be any different?

  • There is no color in the world, there are only electromagnetic vibrations, but do you see colors right now? Well, then what you see and experience is probably yourself!
  • There are no tastes and flavors in the world, there are only atoms and molecules, but do you experience tastes and flavors right now? Well, then what you experience and taste is probably yourself!
  • And so on…

3/ “problem” is a word, it's an idea, and reality does not contain any. So, are problems real?

No, they are not, problems are a mental construct, that we build in order to drive ourselves into solving them. So why do we do that?

Well I can't answer that for you, as it's definitely a personal question, but I can answer for myself: for fun! Solving problems is fun, specially because problems don't really exist, so they are like games, and games are intended to be fun.

So/ now, what about the fact that some people say that “the world is perfect as it is?”. There is a good reason for it, but hold on to your seats, because it's a wild ride.

The world is perfectly fine, because it's perfectly fine “with you”, as the world that you see… is you! As already discussed, there is no way to see reality, and all that we see and experience, is ourselves.

So, the world “being just fine” is a simple way to lead you out of schizophrenia, if you take it. Because, how else could we call the “fighting the movie of your life” behavior, after noticing that there is no difference between you, the living thing, and the whole movie that you seem to be trapped into, and that we call “life”.

You are not trapped: “you” do it, you “do” life! as you “are” life. So if the trap is you, then how could you be trapped? It would be like being locked in a cell, while forgetting that you built the cell and still hold the key. And there is no cell in life, there is just life, so nobody and nothing is trapped, really.

So when you see that, then nothing is a problem anymore, nothing matters anymore and then you start to really have a connection with everything, and act in a totally different and new way. But this new way is really you, and therefore it can't be shared with anyone else, as every free being is on its own personal path as well.

So, from an enlightened being, you wouldn't get any advice. There is no way to it, there is no technique, no ideal place, no ideal moment. There is just “life”, pure and simple, and beautiful.

But no “enlightened being” would know about it or claim anything about it, just like no humble person would ever say “I'm humble” or even believe that he is one. So you will never “know life”, as you “are” it, and an eye can never see itself, fire can't burn itself, and a teeth can't bite itself.

Question?

We'd like to hear from you.
